****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Today’s 8.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have dropped off an inch or two, down into the 1-1ft+ or knee to waist high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was on the bottom of 0.3mtr Low and the wind light on-shore coming out of the W-SW @ 1-3knot. Even so surfing conditions were still clean and glassy and there were surfers out on Kuta and Middle Reefs. I had a couple of friends from Australia head up the coast to Balian early this morning. Their (Paul. Smart & Nick. Kirk) phone through report sounded pretty good with wave height in the 3-4ft range. Light wind for clean and glassy surfing conditions. 12 other surfers in the water and at least half of them were surfer girls. I also had an sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp calling clean and glassy surfing conditions. Wave height in the 2-3ft+ range and two lone surfers in he water.
Weather wise today another sunny start but by 10.00AM the cloud started to fill in. Maybe even the chance of a shower later this afternoon. Currently @ 12.15PM the temperature would be still around the 29-30 degree Celsius mark.
It’s also time for us today to introduce our new surf report “Byron Bay to Lennox Heads” That part of Australia’s NSW north coast was always one of my favorite surf stops and almost mandatory. So thanks to our man Craig Parry who is going to be bringing the reports and photos to us. For a sample of Craig’s photography check out the gems he has loaded (for now) into our Readers Report page.
