****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the news on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the “can’t be this small a surf for too much longer” holiday island of Bali.
As you can see in these handful of photos I took down around the Uluwatu / Padang Padang area yesterday, there wasn’t much happening surf wise down there either. Clean surfing conditions through the morning (if only there was some swell) before the wind shifted more to the WSW by midday.
This mornings surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban hasn’t changed a hell of a lot. But we have had a slight bump thats producing waves in the waist to stomach high range on Middle Reef and Airport Left. Still too small for Kuta Reef. I’s say that the crew up in the Balian area would have had some nice little waves up there this morning. Back down around the southern end of the island at Uluwatu here on the west coast and Nusa Dua on the east side should have a head high wave as well.
Surfing conditions @ 8.00Am were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the NE @ 1-3knot.
Tidal info for today has a 1.6mtr High 7.00AM and then running back out to a 0.8mtr Low around the 1.00PM mark.
Weather wise we are in for another hot and sunny day along the beach heading for a top temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius. With the water temperature faultless at 24 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars on the streets of Kuta; –1AU$=Rp8,700 — 1US$=Rp9,400 — give or take 50 Rupiah depending on vendor. If your ccashing out Euro’s or the Pound then your doing way better again.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
