Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (delivering the goods to you since 1999) for the start of another surfing week here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Ok so what more can I say except how sick are these Padang Padang photos that Ketut shot yesterday afternoon through the low tide, nothing !
It was pretty well just about all of Indo’s best surfers in the line up and they were giving free tube riding lessons to anyone watching. So I hope you have enjoyed this 180+ strong photo gallery and feel free to comment.
Today the 25th and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing plenty of swell out there between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Although it had started to drop off from yesterdays macking sets. Still too big for Airport Left and Middle’s while the tide was running in but there were quite a few surfers already trying their luck on Kuta Reef.
I had Ketut take another run back down to the Southern end of the island with a borrowed 150 – 500mm tele zoom lens (thanks to Diverse Surfboards) and he shot off another bag full of photos from Uluwatu where there were still some solid 6-8ft++ waves breaking. Then Impossibles and Bingin, finishing off his run at Balangan. We’ll get those photos up on line ASAP so stick around the baliwaves.
Weather wise out there today it’s been faultless with tonnes of blue and sky and sweet sun shine. Temperature wise right now at 2.00PM we have 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 65%. Wind direction is coming fresh out of the SE at 10 – 14knot and off shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
The next tide today will be a 0.2mtr Low at 4.00PM. We also have the New Moon rising tonight so get ready for the big tidal ranges that go with it.
