Hello friends of Bali and welcome aboard the baliwaves, the Bali surf report machine since 1999. For the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the Worlds No.1 troipical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so Pat and I were down at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu yesterday. Wave height down at Ulu was a very un organized 4-6ft from Temples’ through to the Outside Racetrack. Don’t let my photos fool ya that’s what a photographers job is, to make ordinary material look much better than what it really is. Mainly because it was a new swell without the strong off shore wind to straighten it all out the waves were bumpy and lumpy. So full credit to the surfers that were out there doing their thing.
Driving home past Impossibles it looked a lot cleaner with a different angle and the shelter of the cliff. Wave height was in the 3-4ft+ range with a good crowd scattered right along the reef. Padang Padang was really only worth it for the body boarders at 2-4ft.
This morning the 12th and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing plenty of swell out there between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. How ever the tide was still way to low with plenty of reef showing. There was also still waves rolling through the middle of Legian Bay (Kurang Tengah). Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with now wind.
The next tide will be a 2.4mtr High at high noon.
Weather wise it’s an overcast start to the day but hopefully the high and light cloud cover should break up as the wind kicks in towards mid morning.
