BALI
9th – 10th October 2014
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (doing our best to show you a little bit of Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
First up we have had some internet hassle’s here since the 8th and have only just got things moving again this morning. So a big apology to you people who haven’t been able to get your daily baliwaves dose.
Yesterday the 9th and my 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be still only showing 2-2ft+ waves breaking from Kuta Reef to Airport left. The tide was running in at the time and the wind light on shore out of the NW.
So As it shows in our new 49 strong photo gallery I took my crew over to a little lesser know location on Bali’s East Coast. We arrived to find one other surfer in the water with 2-3ft+ waves and a clean off shore wind. As the tide kept pushing in some of the set waves were pushing into the well over head range. It was some where close to 10.30AM that more surfers started to turn up but by then the wind was starting to swing on shore on the East side.
Weather wise it was another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. especially on the black sanded beaches of the East coast.
This morning I haven’t as yet been down for a surf recon on the Outer Reefs but will be as soon as I get this report and photos to you. You can also stay in tune with whats happening through our @baliwaves Twitter feed over on the right hand side of the page ok.
