BALI
11th November 2014
Hi folks and thanks again for calling by the baliwaves (delivering a little piece of Bali to you since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
Ok sorry but I never got the chance to do the morning surf check here on the Outer Reefs. We did have a solid reef exposing low tide early to start off the day so I’d say Middle Reef would have been the only option for the early paddle out the front.
But as it does show in today’s 41 strong photo gallery we hit the road down to the Southern end of the island to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Arriving just before 8.00AM to find surfing conditions super clean and glassy with a nice fun sized chest to well over head high waves hitting the Main Peak and Racetrack sections. The tide was starting to roll back in and it wasn’t long before Temple’s also had some nice waves. Crowd wise there was only around 20 surfers scattered through the whole line up (500yrds) at first giving way to 60 as the tide filled in and the wind turned on shore.
Weather wise, well last night here in Tuban we had our first taste of the “wet season” with a 10 minute down pour of rain. But today it’s been amostly hot and sunny one here along the West Coast.
Tomorrow’s forecast is showing slightly smaller waves so just maybe I’ll get to put the boat in the water and see if I can get lucky. Ketut can go get some photos for ya’s. Ok so thanks again and catch ya again tomorrow.
Lest we forget.
