Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (doing our best to keep you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views from here on the Worlds No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.

My surfing day started off with a 6.40AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. I was hoping to see similar sized, or better waves this morning but to me it was looking just a smidgen smaller than yesterday. The tide was getting towards the top and wave height showing in the knee to chest high range between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly outta the North.

So I got my crew together, or visa versa and we headed up the coast a little ways to Canggu. We were, always, hoping to find it not too crowded and I guess it wasn’t too bad. Considering wave height was only in the waist to chest high range with a couple of bigger freak sets hitting the river mouth and at Echo. Crowd. But there was the usual amount of zombies walking around the place, what’s up with smiling these days ? Anyway surfing conditions were ok with the light off shore Northerly giving way to a 10.00AM East – South Easterly Trade wind.

Weather wise outside today it’s been another beauty here along the West Coast of Bali. Pretty well nothing less than non stop blue sky and sunshine. Right now at 2.15PM the temperature is a warm 32 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 69%. Wind direction is coming out of the East at 8 – 11knot.
