****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (’99) for start of another new surfing week, and the latest and greatest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
First off this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a slight bump in wave height, but still only in the waist to shoulder high region. With clean off shore wind coming out of the ESE @ 7 – 12knot.
But as it shows in today’s 47 strong surfing gallery we had the camera gear down on location at Uluwatu. And as you can clearly see, there were plenty of perfection on offer. From the early morning Racetrack session, and then as the tide started to fill in the Main Peak and Temple sections were both going off. No shortage of surfers down at Ulu this morning with a head count of 99 from Temple’s down to the Track.
Today’s Tidal info had us down for a 0.5mtr Low @ 5.30AM and then filling back in with a solid 2.4mtr High around the 11.00AM mark.
Weather wise here on the holiday island it’s pure beach weather today with loads of blue sky and sunshine. Right now @ 4.30PM the outside temperature is still sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius and Humidity level of 75%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE with gusts of up to 20knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling some nice sized head to almost double head high waves breaking from the bottom of Kong’s all the way down through the Launching Pad. At 8.00AM East Java time there were only 3 surfers in the water on Money Tree’s. Low numbers in all camps and perfect waves, contact us at baliwaves.com if you would like a cash back discount at the G-Land Surf Camp.
1.5hrs ago I had an sms text alert from RipCurl calling the Padang Padang Cup on “high alert” status with a possible 6.00AM start tomorrow morning. The organizers are also planning (if Huey delivers) to run the event over two days to ensure the surfers get the optimum low tide conditions to create the hollowest waves possible.
