****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (’99) for the latest and greatest news on daily surfing and weather conditions from right here on the always “in season” surfing holiday islands destination of Bali.
Special Happy First Birthday to my little girl Made Amanda today !!!
First off this mornings 6.30AM surf recon on the Outer reefs here in Tuban still had wave height breaking in the chest to over head class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the tide just about on the top of a 2.0mtr High there were surfers already sitting on all 3 main sections and the ones in between as well. Surfing conditions at the time had the wind coming out of the North @ 4-7knot for a cross / onshore direction.
So we took our time and had a lazy breakfast and an extra cuppa coffee before cruising down to the southern end of the island to Balangan. As you can see in today’s gallery there was something down there for everyone. On arrival there was only a handful of surfers in the water with wave height coming through consistently in the head to well over head range. Unfortunately the wind still had plenty of northerly direction in it until the Tradewind finally dedicated around the 10.30 – 11.00AM mark. Some nice and clean lines peeling off for the 30 or so surfers in the water with the wave quality improving on the run out tide.
Weather wise today there was a lot of cloud cover around through the early morning while the wind was coming out of the North. But as soon as the SE Tradewind kicked in it wasn’t long and we were back into the blue and plenty of sunshine for the beach lovers. Currently right now at 3.15PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming out of the SE @ 10-14knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from our good friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height to be breaking from Kongs down through to the bottom of Money Tree’s in the head to almost double head high class. With another ggreat day of surfing on the cards for the lucky one’s over in camp. Don’t forget to drop us a line here at baliwaves.com if you’d like a discounted trip over to the G-land Surf Camp.
