Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather observations from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Hey so check out the photos, looks like we managed to time it right again yesterday by heading down South to Bali’s Premier surfing location of Uluwatu. We didn’t arrive until around 8.15AM to find wave height still only in the 1-2ft class while the tide was just starting to run in. And as we had hoped for as the tide did push in the sets started to get bigger and the wind a little lighter. The opening photo in today’s gallery was the freak set of the day, it was well over head but not quite double head high as the photo makes it look. There was 1 other surfer in the water when we arrived and by the time we packed up after lunch there would have been around 30 surfers spread through the line up, and zombies in the warung.
Weather wise it was another mostly overcast morning down on the bukit with a light drizzle from time to time. We did see some sunny patches through the early afternoon.
Today the 14th and we are just getting ready to roll out again now at 6.30AM and go find some waves, who know’s where we will end up so make sure you tune in again later on this afternoon if you get a chance. It’s looking a little overcast out there again so far, no wind happening yet either !
