BALI
3rd -4th -5th April 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Ok so have you checked out our new 110+ strong photo gallery that we smashed down at Uluwatu on the 3rd, if not do so right now.
Yeah so on the 3rd we had to head back down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. I mean because the day before was absolutely smoking we’d have been insane not too right. Anyway wave height down at Ulu had dropped off a touch but was still pumping through waves in the over head to double head high plus sector out on the Main Peak. The best waves went down between 8.00 – 11.00AM with super clean conditions and a desirable ESE off shore wind. We hung out for two sessions at Uluwatu but I have to say the morning sess was by far the best and lest crowded. It’s getting to be a “normal” thing down there these days usually starting mid to late morning when the dropping in hits it’s peak. So remember if your still learning to surf don’t try to learn at Uluwatu, unless it’s 1-2ft.
Yesterday the 4th of April and wave height was seriously on the down side of the previous day. We were up pretty early and making the most of the light Northerly wind headed to Canggu. Wave height up there was still showing in the 2-3ft range with maybe a bigger freak set hitting the right hander on the river mouth. Clean little fun waves but again no shortage of surfers in the area, no shortage of zombies either. (zombie – someone who passes close enough for you to smell them but you get absolutely no recognition that you are even present, snob, arrogant, sombong). Surfing was once like a brother hood where you always said hello to a fellow surfer, old days I guess.
We’ll get ya some photos from Canggu online later this evening or first thing tomorrow morning ok, so stay tuned to the original and only baliwaves.com
I’d also like to thank Dave from Diverse for delivering my new ride a fat little 6’0″
Today the 5th (Happy Easter Eggs) and my surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was looking like a lake. I didn’t see anything breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left while I was down at the beach scoring a free outboard motor service thanks to Yamaha / Jimbaran. The tide was also pretty high at the time.
Weather wise out there today it’s another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island and it’s a safe bet to say we have an early “dry season” this year. Right now at 1.30PM the mercury is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 78%. Wind direction is comin gout of the E-SE at 8-12knot.

Hi,
I am planning my honeymoon at Bali in September. We will be staying at
Jimbaran Intercontinental hotel from 19 of September until 26. I am an
intermediary surfer and I was wondering if I can take some surf
courses with you and also be taken to some nice surf spots suitable
for my level. I will like to know also the cost and if you provide
transport from my hotel.
Thanks
