****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and a big thank you for calling into the baliwaves ’99 for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the tropical holiday destination of surf, sun and fun.
Well you never missed out on much yesterday as wave height here on the Outer Reefs was in the ankle to knee high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Combined with a freshening off shore E-SE Tradewind there wouldn’t have been too many locations producing the goods. Uluwatu would have been the best chance for a paddle but you would not have been on your own.
This morning the 27th and there is a slight change in conditions. Wave height on the Outer Reefs has jacked into the knee to waist high plus sector between Kuta Reef and Airports. The tide was just coming off the bottom at the time I was on the beach and Middle Reef being better suited for the lower end of the tide did have a few little waves out there. Three or Four surfers were already out there catching a few waves.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the North @ 2-3knt, but will more than likely swing to the East later this morning as per the last few days.
Looking for a wave this morning as I mentioned Middle Reef had a a couple of little ones. And I’d imagine Canggu would have been ok with a little more tide, around 8.00AM with the off shore Northerly. Balian of course would have been picking up the most size for those already up there in position. Later when the wind dedicates to the East (fingers crossed) Uluwatu will have the best size and power. Over on the East Coast the dawn patrol could have found waves from anywhere in between Nyang Nyangs, Green Bowls, Nusa Dua and maybe even one or two at Serangan.
Tidal info for today has a 2.00mtr High @ 10.00AM and then running out for a 0.4mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark.
Swell Predictions for the next week are not looking too exciting with not much to be found over head high, on the bigger days.
Weather wise today it’s heating up for another very hot beach day. Currently right now at 9.30AM the outside temperature is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius and heading for a high of 35 C. Wind direction is now coming lightly out of the East at 3-4knot. 50/50 chance of some late afternoon evening showers and thunder storms. Sunrise @ 5.52Am and Sunset @ 6.14PM.
