****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and a massive welcome back to your baliwaves (since 1999) to find out wtf is going down here on the World’s most complete tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well we put in another big day all round yesterday the 31st making a 5.45AM bee line over to the East Coast and back to Keramas. Seeing as though we scored some fun waves there the day before, sharing the perfect fun sized right handers with minimal surfers. Well as it shows in the photos I snapped it was even better than the day before with super clean waves in the 2-3ft+ sector (waist to slightly over head) and even an early morning off shore breeze.
Again there were hardly any other surfers in the area with a mellow crew totaling 8. Towards the end of our first session a few of the local Indo surfers paddled out and immediately started to put on a very high performance show of big airs and solid power turns.
It was also my new friends Darcy and Cory’s last day here in Bali so what other perfect way to end the day, other than a huge meal and a couple of cold beers at the hands down best Mexican Restuarant in Bali, POCO LOCO (Jalan Padma Utara, Legian).
This mornings 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban (after dropping Wayan Ray at school). Was as predicted showing a very fat and hardly existent 1-1ft+ wave breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the win light cross on shore out of the NW.
Looking for a wave this morning I don’t think you would be finding more than head high at best around Bali. But with the light wind you’d be able to search on both sides of the island.
This mornings G-Land Surf Report from our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was also calling smaller waves in the waist to head high range this morning at Kong’s. Clean and glassy surfing conditions and still some fun to be had. With low numbers in the surf resort and plenty of swell heading our way how does a 15% discount off any advertised G-Land surfing package plus an accommodation up grade sound (if available), you’d have to be seriously considering getting over there, wouldn’t you ! Check out their packages at www.g-landsurfcamp.com and then contact & confirm it with us and the deal is there.
The next tide here in Bali this morning will be a 2.4mtr High scheduled for 9.11AM. Tomorrow will the the New Moon rising so tide ranges will be increasing over the next 3-4 days.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days here in Bali are looking real good, especially after pretty well non stop perfect waves for the last 2 weeks. Starting some time Thursday afternoon we should have a new swell starting to show, peaking through Friday with medium sized waves. Backing off through Saturday then another slightly smaller swell rolling in for Sunday. Again backing off the following day, Monday. Then yet another medium sized system gracing our reefs on the Tuesday.
Changing dollars to Rupiah here in Tuban; –1AU$=Rp9,845 — 1US$=Rp9,455 — give or take a few Rupiah depending on vendor.
Ok then surfers get ready for more photo bombardments as soon as our next swell hits, which isn’t far away, and stay stoked right here on the baliwaves.com

Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost.
