****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the start of another surfing week and today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Kicking off this morning with a mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban to find wave height only just dribbling through in the knee to waist high class between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were perfect with the wind light off shore out of the SE.
So with the tide running in and conditions only to fatten right up we decided on heading up to Canggu to hopefully find a few marginally bigger waves. Arriving at 6.45AM to find wave height only just a touch bigger but with a cross shore wind from the Se Tradey. But with no surfers yet riding the right hand river mouth section the boys were keen to hit it. While the left hand sand bottom section had at least 20 surfers on it. Pretty ordinary waves today but I’d say you would been doing well to find a wave much bigger anywhere in Indonesia. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon we will see the start of a new swell on our reefs and if the Trade wind holds we’ll be back in action here on holiday central Bali.
The next tide today is going to be a dry reef exposing 0.1mtr Low at 4.33PM. So if you’ve lost any fins over the last week later this afternoon you could walk out and find them.
Weather wise right now at 12.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on a warm 29 degree’s Celsius with the humidity level at 70%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE with gusts into the 17knot range.
Ok folks have a good one and we’ll be back out on the wave hunt again tomorrow so, stay stoked right here on the baliwaves.com. You can also keep one eye on our FREE baliwaves / Impossible’s surf cam and watch the new lines start to appear when they arrive.
We’d also like to thank our good friend Barry Woodbury from the Gold Coast / Australia for bringing over 100 pairs of second hand reading glasses which we have already distributed to our traditional Balinese village (Br Bingin / Datah) plus a few pairs to a few of the old folks here in Tuban as well. Thanks again Barry !
