Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (delivering the goods on Bali since 1999) for another day’s round up on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well shame on Slim for sleeping in this morning so we never got the show on the road and heading back over to the East Coast until 6.30AM. Arriving at our destination, the same place we had to ourselves yesterday morning to find another empty ocean void of any other surfers at 7.15AM. Wave height was still pretty small but I would have to say slightly bigger than the day before and a little more consistent.My crew had it to themselves for a good hour before a few mellow surfers turned up and joined in the fun.
Surfing conditions remained pristine right through our session and even when we packed up it was still glassy but with the wind just starting to take the gloss off the waves.
This mornings 8.45AM (text message) surf report from Jon was telling off some perfect shaped sand banks along the famous stretch of sand around the Padma St / Legian area. Unfortunately wave height was only in the waist to waist high plus sector.
I also had a heads up at 10.45AM (text message) from the Ando’s who frequent Canggu and they told of over 100 surfers in the water up there this morning. They also mentioned that there was a strong Police presence in the area commencing to set up road blocks. The other they said was that there were already at least 60 riot squad Police in full dress on the scene. I hope to hear more on this situation later tonight.
Latest news on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban (Lewie) tells of 1-2ft waves with a strong on shore SW-SSE wind all over it.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High at 7.47PM.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day with the a couple of scattered clouds on the drift. Currently right now at 2.40PM the outside temperature is sitting on 30C with the humidity on 66%.
The next Moon phase is going to see a Full Moon rising on the 29th of this month.
