BALI
9th November 2012
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (The original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest and greats news and views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Once again this morning we knew where we were bee lining too, so no need to scope the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. On the road by 6.00AM and on location by 6.40AM over on Bali’s East Coast. Our first glimpse of the ocean was of semi clean 3-4 footers (head to well over head high) waves peeling off out the front of the car park and down on the main break. No surfers on the car park but there were already 15 riders doing the main break.
The tide was just starting to run out and around the mid tide mark surfing conditions really cleaned up and the waves glassed off to produce some solid tube rides on both break. We hung out in the warung through until 11.00AM and even when we packed it up there were still some really nice waves peeling off on the Main Break with 10 surfers still in the water. Although the tide was starting to get a touch low and the wind starting to come up outta the South.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High @ 6.11PM. NB: my expensive new titanium tide watch by a major brand has never been in the surf and already has a fog ring under the glass, pretty disappointing for only 6 months old.
Weather wise today we got off to some early morning rain here in Tuban that dogged us all the way over to the East Coast. Mainly cloudy and over cast through till midday before the sun finally busted out for a hot and humid old afternoon. Temperature wise at 4.15PM the mercury was still sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is now coming outta the S-SSE at 6-9knot.
