BALI
10th November 2012
G’day crew and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (keeping the Bali stoke strong and kickin since 1999) for the latest news and greates views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place worth spending your hard earned tropical surfing holiday bucks, BALI.
Ok so we knew we were hitting my favorite this morning, after watching the charts and a late arvo surf check yesterday it was looking positive for some fun sized peelers on Kuta Reef. An that’s what it was. We rocked out there at 6.45Am to find 16 other surfers and some super clean waves hitting KR in the chest to head high plus on the bigger set waves. It was looking real good by 8.00Am and the crowd dropped off to a mere 10 in the line up and at least 4-5 of them should have been still getting pushed into foamies down along Kuta beach. But then by 9.00AM the crowd surged with a few full boat loads taking the numbers back into the mid 20’s. Still, there were plenty of waves coming through and the local boys putting on a good show along with plenty of smiles and hoots.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.3mtr High just after sunset tonight. We also have a New Moon rising on the 13th of this month so tidal ranges are getting bigger over the next week.
Jon also sent us through a sms text report from over at Keramas on the East Coast (shoulda been there yesterday bro… hahaha). Wave height coming through in the shoulder to head high range with a consistent crowd of 25 surfers from dawn till late morning.
Weather wise today she dawnd clear and blue but by 7.00Am there were some scattered clouds, but still mainly hot and sunny here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 2.30PM the mercury is sitting on 32 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming outta the West at 5-8knot.
Ok that’s about it for today but don’t forget to tune into our SUNDAY SESSION tomorrow cause there’s always a perfect wave somewhere here in Bali (if ya know where n when to go : )
