BALI
13th – 14th November 2012
Hello everyone and thanks for calling into your baliwaves.com (Bali’s original surf report since 1999) for the latest news and best views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the tropical paradise holiday island of BALI.
Well yesterday I had a bit of a lay day seeing as though wave height here on the Outer Reefs was still only showing in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. I also had to pick up my new work / business visa (KITAS) plus a bit of general tidying up here at home, well almost like a day off anyway. But there were waves to be had here in Bali don’t get me wrong by any means and I’m sure there were plenty of stoked surfers all over the island, well the one’s who knew where and when to go anyway.
This morning the 14th and not much has changed in the way of wave height here on the Outer Reefs with still that waist to waist high plus size showing between Kuta Reef and Airports. At first light the wind was coming out of the North and the tide on the run in, so Ketut decided to grab the camera equipment and take a quick run up to Canggu to snap off today’s photo gallery.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 2.2mtr High at 9.43AM.
Weather wise we had some more heavy rain last night and again through the early hours of the morning. But right now at 9.40AM we have a mainly hot and sunny day happening for the lucky folk on vacation. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming lightly out of the East at 3-6knot.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days thanks to stormsurf.com are saying that we are in for more of these small waves right through until next Monday when we will see a slight improvement in size and then a medium sized new swell showing up on the following Tuesday. But never the less there’s always a wave happening somewhere here in Bali.
I think it’s “Aussie schoolies week” starting up here soon in Bali so be prepared for drunk teenagers in the streets of Kuta, zapping around on motorbikes and generally out of control.
