BALI
15th November 2012
Hi crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (keeping the dream alive sine 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs just down the road here in Tuban was showing even smaller surf today. Only just breaking in the 1-2ft tops range on the bigger set waves between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and smooth with the morning wind coming lightly out of the North.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery we were back on the scene up at the black sand beach of Canggu. Pretty small up there as well but there was some occasional head high set waves hitting the right hand river mouth and the left on the san bar. No shortage of surfers with at least 30 on the right hander and another 20-25 riding the sand bar. Surfing conditions remained clean and tidy until the SE Trade wind started to puff around 9.30AM.
****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Well I don’t know where it’s come from but at 1.30PM I was down on the beach working on one of my boats out riggers and low and behold there was chest to well over head waves breaking on Kuta and Middle Reefs. Looking real good with a clean off shore wind on it.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 0.4mtr Low at 4.30PM.
Weather wise there was more early morning rain here in Tuban but that quickly cleared away for another hot and sunny day. Temperature wise right now at 12.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 6-9knot.
Looking for a wave this afternoon then Uluwatu would be the best place to head for.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days thanks to stormsurf.com are saying that we are in for more of these small waves right through until next Monday when we will see a slight improvement in size and then a medium sized new swell showing up on the following Tuesday. But never the less there’s always a wave happening somewhere here in Bali.
I think it’s “Aussie schoolies week” starting up here soon in Bali so be prepared for drunk teenagers in the streets of Kuta, zapping around on motorbikes and generally out of control.
