24th -25th April 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (doing our best to keep you primed up for Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news and our best views on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 24th started off with a 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban to only find wave height still down in the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef to Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy-ish with the wind light and variable. I didn’t see any surfers in the water at the time.
The thing working against us was that we also had the Low tide happening through the early morning which kinda restricts us to where we can get in the water at, not to mention that there wasn’t a helluva lot of swell either. But as it shows in today’s photo gallery we managed to get a few waves over on Bali’s East coast. On arrival everything was looking ok with 2-3 footers and only a dozen surfers spread through the line up. Surfing conditions were very clean and glassy through out most of the morning when the wind turned on shore around midday. There was also a lot more surfers in the water by 10.30AM.
Weather wise it was beauty with a mostly blue sky with the temperature already busting in to the 30’s on the Celsius scale by late morning.
Today the 25th and “Lest We Forget” for all the fallen Digger’s on this ANZAC DAY. It would have been nice to have been able to join in the march this morning for my father and all his brothers who served in WW2, Head em up boys !
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs (just down the road from home here in Tuban) was showing a significant jump in wave height. Today there’s at least 3-4ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind light out of the NE. Middle Reef was looking the best while the tide was still running out.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 1.0mtr Low around 8.00AM.
