BALI
18th January 2013
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (Bali’s premier surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This mornings 7.00AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was as predicted just too small. Low tide and only a 1-2ft wave breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were not that bad with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NW.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery there was indeed some fun little waves happening up at Keramas over on Bali’s East Coast. Arriving around 7.45AM to find clean waist to head high waves breaking on the main break and a few slightly smaller waves hitting the car park section. Only 10 surfers riding the main break and another 5 down on car parks. Surfing conditions remained clean and glassy through till around the 10.00AM mark. By that time the number of surfers up there would have been in the low 30’s and just a few too many for this location.
Weather wise it’s been another hot and humid day here on the holiday island. Up until now that is, currently at 5.30PM the rain has just started coming down hard and looking like it’ll be hanging around for a while. The outside temperature is just starting to cool off, 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 69%. Wind direction is still coming out of the West at 6-9knot.
Ok so fingers crossed our new swell is still on track for arrival some time on Sunday, leaving only tomorrow’s small sized waves to get through. So make sure you stop by the baliwaves over the weekend cause we’ll be out there keeping you covered.
