Super Bank / Australia; 10th July 07
cheers to all and thanks for taking the time to check us out. cheers to all and thanks for taking the time to check us out. well the swell has finally returned with a southerly buster making the wind chill factor rise considerably…there was only one mad bugger out there in shorts and no shirt. With the new south swell the sweep is horrendous…but thats cool if you can jag a good one it can run for about 300 metres or more!! . Then just get out and walk back. around to Snapper There were about 130 surfers out this morning at 9am ..Not too bad seeing its still school holidays… the tide was too low which made the bigger ones (about 3ft) break wide of the bank and not really barrell. some of the smaller ones though were classic little kegs…… great for the groms or if your only 2 foot tall . This afternoon on the high tide at 4pm the waves should come up a bit and the bigger ones around 3 ft will start to barrel … no doubt the crowd will peak then as well. I’ll try and get down there and get a few more shots. The swell should hang around for the next few days and according to swell
predictions will peak on Friday. It must be pretty big further down the coast where the south swell doesnt have to wrap around the point.
stay tuned
Dan
