**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Thanks for cruising back to the baliwaves and time to find out whats been happing today. Well shortly after I posted this mornings info the wind did infact swing around to the West blowing ligtly on-shore at something like 2-5knot. As ya’s can see in these current photos I snapped of the surfers riding the Main Peak around 10.00am this morning, that I did make the trip down to Uluwatu regardless of the light on-shore breeze. The crowd was pretty easy going and I only counted around 15 surfers in the water, dropping off to 8 riders by the time I packed up at 1.00pm. Wave height was running from chest to head high plus. Weather wise the sky has remained blue and clear, and right now at 4.00pm it still is. The best surfing conditions were happening through the early am today. Hopefully tomorrow we may see another slight spike to wave height, so the early paddle is on the cards for the crew here in Bali. So then, until tomorrow, Best Regards From Your Bali.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew, and a huge welcome to the baliwaves this fine Friday morning. I’ll just fill ya’a in on what went down yesterday afternoon first. Well that off-shore breeze that come through lasted untill around 11.30am then the direction shifted around the the WSW and increased to around 5-8knot (just as I was hitting the water…). The word from Serangan was of fairly clean surfing conditions for the 50 or so surfers from Japan and wave height around double over head if you were lying down prone. Uluwatu I was told had waves were in the waist to head high range and clean according to a couple of the guests home basing here with us. This morning the 24th and at 7.00am the wind was blowing outta the NE at 3-4knot and off / cross-shore on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height has increased, and I did see some head high plus waves hitting Middle Reef. Kuta Reef and Airport Left also had some little waves in the waist high class but the tide was still falling. No sign of any dawn patrolers in this area. Who knows what the wind is going to do later on, but for now surfing conditions are worth getting wet for. I’m gunna be heading South down to Uluwatu as soon as I’m finished up-dating ya’s. Hopefully after the tide bottoms out and starts its run back up we might just… well, tune in later on if ya wanna see some surfing action, fresh outta Bali. Weather wise today its all shaping up nicely, plenty of blue sky showing and the land temp should peak around 31-32C. Alrighty then we sure do hope ya have a good day and get some waves in, where eva ya may be out there. An if not, then ya had better get on the phone to your travel agent and book a flight to Bali ! Best Regards from Your No.1 Day Dream Destination.
One more very important thing before I go dept: A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected] (sorry I left out the dash before)Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
