**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome aboard the baliwaves to all you reef riders this wet and wild Saturday. Wild is a good way to describe todays weather conditions that’s for sure. I made my trek (30yrds) down to the Outer Reefs located here in Tuban at 7.00am, fighting the rain and 25knot worth of on-shore Westerly wind all the way. It does look like the swell has increased in size between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, but the ocean is looking like one giant sized industrial strength washing machine. So it looks like we’re gunna have to find something else besides surfing ‘n sunbaking to fill in today. If the weather settles down at all I’ll let ya know later on this evening, if it don’t, I won’t. What I have been asked to pass on to the baliwaves.com crew are some special prices for anyone who’s been thinking of hitting the Mentawai Islands. The owner of one of the the largest charter operations for the area has some vacancies to fill on quite a few of his boats. He’s going to give another 5% discount to any of you surfers for any bookings for this month, April ’06. Here’s a quick break down of what he’s got for ya’s, and if your interested shoot him an email straight away.
Wijaya: April 17 – 28 – need 4 people: $1600

One more very important thing before I go dept: A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali. Until later have a top day where eva ya are out there and hopefully we’ll see ya’s here in Bali in 2006.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
