**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew, I thought I’d just better fill ya’s in on how good it was surfing in Bali today. As ya can see in these latest photos Uluwau was looking pretty good with wave height a consistent 3-5ft+ on the Main Peak and Temple sections. The Main Peak had the most traffic with something like 35 surfers spread between the Peak and Racetrack. While up on the Temple section there were some absolutely perfect ruler edged waves smoken through and only about a dozen surfers making the paddle up to em. While I was down at UIuwatu Sarge reckons he had a ball surfing Kuta Reef through the morning at 1-3ft+ and then scored 3-5ft waves at Middle Reef on the sunset session. I’d also imagine that there woulda been plenty of waves spread through Impossible’s and Bingin on the lower end of the tide. Ok then, I’ll be checking out the situation again at dawn so tune in again later for the latest information on Bali’s surf and weather conditions. Best Regards from 100% surfer friendly Bali.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com this fine Wednesday morning, well, here in Bali anyway. Yesterday I was just too rooted to type up an afternoon up-date, I suppose we count in the 12th of April as the start of the Dry Season ’06. I didn’t make it past Kuta Reef for it. Even though you coulda put Mum’s house on it that Uluwatu woulda been going off. I finally made it out to KR around 11.30am with Sarge, and the boys that’r hanging out with us here at Home Base Bali. There were only 12 other surfers in the water at the time, wave height was a super friendly 2-3ft+ and the tide running out fast. The wind was only just showing outta the NW but by 12.00 noon the SE Tradewind kicked in, and off-shore. While I was out the crowd mighta peaked into the high twenties, but Sarge reckons he surfed the sun set session with just himself and two local boys, Yandai and Wydia. This morning wave height has backed off slightly on the Outer Reefs, but there are still plenty of perfect shaped 1-3 footers breaking in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And the wind is coming outta the ESE , off-shore @ 3-6knot+. Tide wise we have the Full Moon happening today so we are gunna be getting some solid shifts in tide range over the next few days. The next tide in Bali is gunna be a Low, ranging out through early to mid afternoon. I’ll be heading South as soon as this report gets out to ya’s, so by the time your reading this I’ll probably be down at Uluwatu getting ya’s some fresh photos, so ya can see whats going down. Outside we have a stunna of a day coming on, right now @ 8.45am the temperature outside is around 26 degree’s Celcius and will make it into the 30’s by midday. The water temp couldn’t be any better, yesterday it was perfect for boardies at 24 C. Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta: — 1US$=8,990 – 1AU$=Rp6,550 – 1EU$=12,000 -. Ok crew you know where to come if ya want a piece of it. I’m gunna hit the road, so have a good one and I’ll catch ya’s L8R.

A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
