**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew and it is time for the arvo up-date. Well ya had to be up for the early morning paddle today to score any of the swell that was available. Because she dropped out pretty quickly I tell ya. I went back down for paddle at 11.30am but there were no waves left worth surfing on the Outer Reefs. Even Middle Reef was just breaking in the 1-2 foot range through the Low tide. I’ve just got back from taking another look at conditions, so at 3.00pm the tide was still pretty Low and there were surfers out on Middle Reef and Airport left. Wave height was breaking with good shape but not a lotta power, 1-2ft. The wind is coming outta the ESE-SE @ 6-10knot, clean off-shore. It’s been another warm day here on the Holiday island, plenty of blue sky and a max temp of 32 degree’s Celcius. Ok then we’ll be heading down to Uluwatu tomorrow to check out whats going down. Make sure ya tune in if ya wanna see how it was. See ya then.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning to you reef riders tuning into the baliwaves this fine Tuesday morning. Well I was going along with all the usual swell prediction sites that I trust and the funny thing is they have all been pointing to very small to micro sized waves happening around Bali today. So I slept in till 7.00am. Needless to say I was a bit pissed off to find some solid 5 footers rolling through Middle Reef, well not pissed off that there are good waves out there. But pissed off I didn’t get out for an early paddle. Another strange thing this morning is that while Middle Reef is producing waves upta double over head Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts are hardly breaking and with a long wait in between sets. There was no one out surfing on the Outer Reefs, so at least I guess I wasn’t the only one who got caugth out this morning. The wind was coming outta the ENE @ 3-5knot and still is now at 8.30am, it will more than likely swing further to the ESE-SE as the morning comes on. The next tide we have on Bali’s West Coast will be a Low and that’s gunna be taking place through midday. Once again the sky is pretty well blue except for a few fluffy white clouds cruising by every now and again (that description of the sky is gunna start getting pretty repetative over the next 6 months or so). So it looks like my trolling rods won’t be getting used today, and I’ll be slotting some fins into my new (1 of 4) 6’4″ DIVERSE. Alright then I getta get back down the beach for now, but I’ll do my best to let ya’s know how the days waves and weather pans out later this evening. Until then have a good day what eva yer doing, cause ya know the crew holidaying here on Bali will be ! L8R.

A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
