**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good afternoon freinds of Bali and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves this fine Wednesday. I’ve just got back from a big day down at Uluwatu, and it was cranking when we got there at 9.00am and still is now at 3.30pm. As ya can clearly see in our photos, wave height was a good solid 3-5ft on the Main Peak and Temple sections of Uluwatu. The first 4 photographs are of some guy getting shacked off his face at Temple’s while the other 6 shots are of the Main Peak and Temple’s. Temple’s was the place to be through the morning session, and there were about a dozen surfers dropping into some nice round tubes. The Main Peak had a lot more traffic with something like 30 surfers spread out from the Peak to the Racetrack. At around 1.00pm the tide started to get lower and that’s when the Racetrack started to get all the action. At this stage I changed from SLR over to DVcam and started to shoot video. But your gunna have to wait until a bit later on to get a look at just how good it was, a regular tubefest was going down. Not to leave out the bodyboarders, there were also a couple of slick riders getting plenty of tubes and I’ll also try and get those photos loaded up as I go. Having a look at a few of the other locations around Bali’s West Coast department: Kuta Reef to Airport Left had a few small 1-3ft waves breaking through the early morning, with Middle Reef having the better sized sets. Nothing happening at Padang Padang, but there were a few 1-3ft lines wrapping down along the Impossible’s stretch of reef. Weather wise it’s been pretty well faultless here on the surf riddled Holiday island of Bali. Blue sky, off-shore wind outta the ESE @ 4-8knot and a top land temp up around 33 degree’s Celcius. Ok crew that should give ya a good enough mental picture to play with. Now it’s up to you to get your tickets booked and haul some butt getting over here and get in on the action. Stay tuned for the video clips and bodyboard stuff, there not too far away and I know your gunna like em. Talk to ya’s again real soon.

A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
