**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hey crew, well todays surfing conditions didn’t quite hold it together for all that long at all. Shortly after my first surf recon the wind crept around to the West and has stayed there all day, and still is now at 5.00pm. The swell has been pumping through on the Outer reefs and there were quite a few surfers that made the effort to get out there. Kuta Reef and Airport Left had the cleaner conditions with wave height pushing 4-5ft on both reefs. More perfect Holiday weather here in Bali again, just a pity about the on-shore. Oh-well, we’ll just have to wait and see what the wind does tomorrow as there should still be enough swell for it. In the mean time I’ve loaded another video clip (video 3) plus seeing as though the 26th was the last perfect day we had here along the West coast of Bali, and because I received quite a few emails appreciating the photos from Temple’s at Uluwatu, I thought I’d load another batch of photos from the day. Not too mention that it’s been blowing farkin on-shore for the last two days now either. Ok then, I’ll be back with more of the latest info on Bali’s surf and weather first thing again in the morning. See ya’s then !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning to all you lovers of fine weather and waves tuning into Bali today. Well first up I have left yesterday’s report (below) as we had some minor probs with the new system that controls the up-dates on baliwaves.com. Anyway today things have changed for the better, right now at 6.45am I’ve just returned from checking the action on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Wave height was easily pushing into the 3-5ft+ range in between Kuta Reef and Airport Right. Wind direction has shifted back to the ENE and off-shore for now @ 1-3knot. The next tide is gunna be a pretty solid one at 2.5mtrs taking place between 10-11am. Outside we have more clear blue sky so we have everything on our side, we should be heading for a maximum land temp in the early thirties, water temp on 21-22 degree’s Celcius. If anyone’s looking for me, you’ll be able to find me at Kuta Reef. What’s your local doing today ? Back L8R.
I have been asked to pass on to the baliwaves.com crew some special prices for anyone who’s been thinking of hitting the Mentawai Islands. The owner of one of the the largest charter operations for the area has some vacancies to fill on quite a few of his boats. He’s going to give another 10% discount to any of you surfers for any bookings for this month, April ’06. A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
