**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good afternoon surfers and I’m sure ya’s can excuse my need for getting in some surf therapy this morning. My 6.30am surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing 2-4ft+ of swell hitting the reefs between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Kuta Reef was pretty good (I tell ya) drawing in and bending 2-3ft+ lines down the length of the reef. Middle Reef was holding waves in the 2-4ft+ range and was at it’s best early before the tide filled it in. Airport Left was also breaking nicely at 1-3ft as the tide run in. First thing this morning the wind was blowing lightly outta the SE and then slowly made it’s way around the West blowing straight on-shore @ 1-4knot. Not quite the same as a good clean off-shore, but still, it didn’t really get strong enough to ruin the waves. Only a mellow crew surfing at Kuta Reef, there was around 15 surfers enjoying the waves when I hit the water @ 8.30am. And by the time I had had my fill @12.00pm there was only 2 surfers left out. Right now @ 3.00pm there’s a big black storm front moving over Seminyak / Legian and Kuta coming outta the ENE so we could even be in for a bit of a thunder storm before the end of the day. Other than that it’s been a pretty good day weather wise and I’m sure there were waves being surfed all over the island. Ok crew I’ve had my go today so tomorrow I’ll be out shooting ya’s some more photos and video while we still have some swell about. So all the best from the Worlds best surfing Holiday Destination of Bali, until tomorrow that is.
