**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome back to the baliwaves and to all you potential reef riders tuning in for the first time ! Right on time, my 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showning a genuine increase in wave height. Currently the tide is at the bottom of a 1.0mtr Low water mark with the next High tide set to take place between 2.00-3.00pm this afternoon @ 2.0mtrs. Wave height on the Outer’s was ranging from 2-4ft+ and that was while the tide was on the bottom. Kuta Reef was showing good potential at a consistent 2-3ft. Middle Reef was breaking with more gusto @ 2-4ft and probably the best option (until the tide runs in justa little bit…) Airport Left was also breaking consistently @ 1-3ft. Wind direction was coming outta the North @ 2-4knot just after sun up, but will more than likely swing around to the ESE-SE as the day gets going and the Tradewind kicks in. More fantastic blue sky and sunshine is also coming at us again today and the temperature will bust into the low 30’s Celcius by midday. I tell ya’s it doesn’t get much better, although, the water temperature is sitting on 22 Celcius and perfect for boardies and bikini’s. There’s one other thing I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned. The worst thing about Bali. I’ve met thousands apon thousands of surfers holidaying throughout Bali and Indonesia and you know what they have all agreed on about being the worst thing about their surfing holiday. Everyone agree’s that the worst thing about Indo is when it’s time to leave, no one wants to go home. “Another week or two would be ok…” Anyway come over and find out how good a Bali Holiday is, for surfers. Alright then, it’s going to be a busy day for me, especially if I plan to sample a few Kuta Reef peelers and get ya’s some more stuff to look at as well. You lot have a good one and drop in later on and see what’s been happening here on your magical island of Bali. ron.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
