**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers, and hands up if your local is cranking out 2-4ft, 100mtr+ perfect left handers. That’s what I got when I was down doing the morning surf check of the Outer Reefs at 6.30am. The tide was still running down and almost at the bottom of a mid moon phase 1.2mtr Low water mark set for between 8.00-10.00am, followed by a 1.8mtr High Tide between 3.00-4.00pm this afternoon. Hardly any variance betwen the two, mid moon phase. Kuta Reef was looking pretty good and there were already a couple of dawn patrolers out, getting a refund on their airfares ! Wave height woulda been rolling through @ 2-4ft, Middle Reef was pumping through some solid 5 footers but I didn’t see anyone one out there at the time. Even Airport Left was breakng nicely @ 1-3ft+, no one out. Wind direction was coming ever so lightly from the ESE and off-shore. More blue sky and blah blah blah, 30 degree Celcius, blah blah blah, 22 Celcius water temp, blah blah blah, perfect holiday weather. I told ya’s a while back the weather gets monotonously repetative for the next 6 months. Ok then I hope this helps ya to form a mental picture of just how good the surfing lifestyle is shaping up in Bali today. Alright then I’ll go and get a few waves at KR first and then see if I can get ya’s a look at the action for this afternoons surf and weather run down. Sit tight and I’ll make sure I get a good one for ya. ron.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
