**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves this wet Sunday morning. Well yesterday I didn’t get a chance to type up the afternoon report but what I did manage to get done was the loading of 1 new video clip (video 1) and will have one more loaded for ya’s very shortly (video 4). I was sitting in the channel shooting DV from 10.30am until the wind turned on-shore ([email protected]) around midday. Wave height had backed off slightly from earlier but was still rolling through in the 2-3ft range and good fun. Middle Reef was still sneaking through waves upta 4ft and I’m sure Uluwatu woulda still been a solid 5-6ft. The wind did shift back to the ESE and off-shore later in the afternoon just in time for the sunset session. This morning it’s been raining solidly since just before sunset and I had to put the rain coat on to do my 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs. Unfortunately wave height has continued to drop down further into a weak looking 1-2ft between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The wind was blowing lightly off-shore between the rain squalls and still is now @ 7.45am in the 2-4knot strength. The next tide is going to be a Low of 1.2 mtrs at 11.00am, then the High water happening @ 5.00pm @ 1.7 mtrs. Uluwatu would be the place to head for if your looking for a paddle today. Me I think I’ll kick back and wait for the sky to clear up, it will. Check out the new video clips and have a sticky beak through the site, if there’s any changes surf side I’ll get back to ya’s ron.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. I think it costs around AU$70.00 per year to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books plus pocket money.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
