**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good Evening folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves. But unfortunately nothing hs changed in relation to this mornings surfing conditions except the off-shore ESE’r did nothing but get stronger and stronger all day long. The waves were better through the morning before the tide and wind came up. The grey clouds also kept rolling across the sky and we might even get a few drops tonight I think. Ok I’ve gone and loaded up some different photos for some distraction from todays micro conditions. The Rusty “Rumble in the Jungle” day of finals was put on hold and has been re-scheduled for Tuesday at Uluwatu, and hopefully some solid swell. Ok I’ll see what’s happening in the morning and get back to ya’s around 7.00am Bali time.Selamat Malam.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning to all our reef riding brothers and sisters tuning into the baliwaves today. Firstly I better say sorry for no surf and weather up-dates yesterday the 17th, as ya’s know it don’t happen too often. The reason, fishing contest, with most of my Balinese fishing friends. Slim managed to weigh into 3rd place on the day, making it onto the winners podium, a top day was had by everyone who turned up. While on the surfing front yesterday it was the end of our run of non stop perfection on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. After 17 days straight of wave after wave it finally dropped back down into the 1-2ft class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. While down at Uluwatu wave height was in the 2-3ft+ range but off-limits while “Rusty” are holding their surfing contest over the weekend. This morning the 18th and it was still too dark to see anything yet at 5.45am, and even when it does dawn I don’t think there’s gunna be too much happening on the Outer Refs here in Tuban. Ok right now @ 6.30am the sky is light enough to reveal a sky full of dark cloud. The wind is light outta the ESE @ 2-5 knot and, off-shore as it should be. The next tide will be a 0.9 mtr Low @ 9.00am and then followed by a 2.0 mtr High @ 3.00pm, not much tide difference for us at the moment being in the middle of the Moon Phase. So today if your in Bali and looking for something to do, then head down to Uluwatu and check out the local surfers tearing it apart in the Rusty “Rumble in the Jungle” surfing contest. I might even load ya’s up another video clip, but make sure ya check out video clips 1-2 first. Alright crew have a good one what eva ya got planned, drop in later this evening for the full run down on todays beach and weather conditions, as it happened. Best Regards from Your No.1 Surfing Holiday Destination on the Tropical Island of BALI.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Surfer-girl won’t be involved with the Orphan Sponsorship Program as of the 12th of June. But we will find a way to keep it continuing, so drop us an email if you’d like to help out. It doesn’t cost much to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books.
Here’s a quick up-date on the Bali Orphan Project, last week baliwaves.com found sponsors for 3 unfortunate Balinese kiddies. Now if we can only keep the momentum going I know we can do some more, AU$8.00 per month per year for everything needed to put a child in school.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
