**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome back to the baliwaves. As ya may have noticed these new photos on display were shot down at Uluwatu yesterday around 11.00am. When I arrived down there wave height was in the 2-3ft range breaking on all three sections from the Temple down to the Racetrack and only something like 12-15 surfers scattered through em. There were a couple of riders surfing Temple’s to themselves and scoring some ok little tude rides. The main Peak was a bit closey outish with the tide still running down. Racetrack had the odd 3 footer racing along the edge of a pretty shallow looking reef. Coming home there looked to be a few lines bending down the “Impossible’s” stretch of reef and there may have even been a smallies in at Bingin. Today the 22nd and @ 7.00am this morning it wasn’t looking to good for a paddle on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height has faded down into the 1-1.5ft+ range in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Plus the wind has already started to crank up, blowing off-shore outta the ESE-SE @ 8-12 knot. The wind has been peaking out upta 25 knot the last few days and is probably gunna do it again today. So if you were after a wave you’d be looking for somewhere protected from the wind a bit. The tide has been running out from the 2.1mtr High water @ 7.00am to a 0.7mtr Low tide set for 1-00-2.00pm this afternoon. Ok crew somehow I don’t think we’re gunna have ta wait too long for the next swell arrival, I’m pretty sure she’s already in transit to Bali ! Best Regards from the No.1 Surfing Holiday Destination.
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Surfer-girl won’t be involved with the Orphan Sponsorship Program as of the 12th of June. But we will find a way to keep it continuing, so drop us an email if you’d like to help out. It doesn’t cost much to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books.
Here’s a quick up-date on the Bali Orphan Project, last week baliwaves.com found sponsors for 3 unfortunate Balinese kiddies. Now if we can only keep the momentum going I know we can do some more, AU$8.00 per month per year for everything needed to put a child in school.
Feel free to send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
