**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew, yep, it is now day 10 of perfect waves. Well here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban anyway, down at Uluwatu I’ve ever only seen it dead flat once or twice in the last 11 odd years. This morning, I thought seeing as the tide was High through the early am and that the off-shore ESE’r was still only light I’d take a boat ride around to the other side of the Airport runway. The sky was just starting to show some light as we got around there, wave height was a good’n punchy 4ft, right handers, running the odd 80-100mtrs. A real nice change going front side for a change. We bailed outta there as the wind started getting stronger, and the crowd reached to 9 surfers. Coming home past Airport Left There wasn’t anybody out ? the waves were looking good in the 2-3ft+ class (head high plus). Middle Reef was also peeling off left handers in the 2-4ft range and will probably improve as the tide runs out later on. Our boat hit the beach right infront of Kuta Reef, and it was cranking out 2-4 footers, there looked to be around 20 or so surfers in the line-up. Right now at 9.30am the wind is pretty well howling off-shore @ 8-12 knot+. The sky is mostly blue, there is a fair bit of cloud buzzing over and we did get a couple of drops of rain while we we at Airport Right. But should be all good now and turn into another day for board shorts and t-shirts. If you wanna know what the tide is doing the next phase is going to be a Low of 0.4 mtrs around 2.00-3.00pm this afternoon. Me, I think I’ll get out to Kuta Reef around mid tide, just to balance things out. Check back later this evening cause ya neva know, I might have some more pics of Kuta Reef on show. I also gotta say a big Thanks to the person who deposited AU$4.99 into my account, THANKS for the support ! Best Regards from the best place to be on vacation, Bali !
A little while back I mentioned something about baliwaves.com wanting to help out with a charity organisation carring for Balinese Orphans , by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. Well just for now if anyone would like a bit more information please send an email to: [email protected]
Purnie will be able to pass on all the info. It doesn’t cost much to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books.
Here’s a quick up-date on the Bali Orphan Project, last week baliwaves.com found sponsors for 3 unfortunate Balinese kiddies. Now if we can only keep the momentum going I know we can do some more, AU$8.00 per month per year for everything needed to put a child in school.
