**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew and welcome to the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather info machine. Yes I do have to admit there was no shortage of tube rides happening down on Uluwatu’s Racetrack section yesterday morning. I was set up by 9.15am while the tide was still low enough for it warp along the shelf for a good hour or so before the tide messed with it. There were only 15-20 surfers in the water at first but gradually increased as the tide pushed in. By the time I packed up at 12.00 noon there woulda been at least 50 riders spread out from way down at Temple’s to the Main Peak and through the Racetrack. Coming home going over the bridge at Padang Padang I could see some good lines wrapping down the reef at Impossible’s in the 2-4ft range. This morning the 18th and @ 6.30am my recon of the Outer Reefs (Tuban) was showing a drop in wave height. Small waves in the 1-2ft+ range from Kuta Reef all the way down to Airport Left. The tide was still falling at the time with a 0.7mtr Low set to take place around 9.30am and followed by a 1.8mtr High around 3.30pm this afternoon. The wind was coming lightly outta the WNW @ 1-3knot and on-shore, but surfing conditions were still pretty clean and glassy never the less. Plenty of blue sky outside and another perfect beach day coming up for the lucky buggers already here in Bali on holiday. Uluwatu would be your best place to chase down some waves today or to just chill out in the cliff side warungs with the locals isn’t a bad day either. Anyway we hope ya’s have a good one what eva’s on today and unless your going down to the travel agent to book ya tickets to Bali don’t go to far away. Because we have more swell in transit via the Indian Ocean that will be arriving in Bali very soon ! Best Regards from Your Favourite Surfing Holiday Destination.
