**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome to another week of baliwaves and thanks for taking the time to drop by. At 6.30am this morning wave height has knocked it back another gear but still coming through in the 3-5ft range in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There was no one in the water at the time mainly due to the tide almost at the bottom of a 0.5mtr Low set for 7.30am. When the tide does turn and start it’s run back in there’s gunna be some nice waves on all sections but Kuta Reef will be a cranking. I dunno what the other crew are saying but the wind was blowing outta the NNE @ 2-5knot, and the Tradewind should kick in anytime from now onwards and tidy things up even more. Bugger all cloud up above us, just a nice deep sky blue that’s setting the scene for another perfect day at “take ya pick” beach. Ok right now @ 8.00am the Tradewind has just started to sway the coconut palms outside my window, everything is on track. Temperature wise the mercury will get up into the late 20’s Celcius or early 30’s if your outta the wind, the water temp is still a touch cooler than normal, around 21 degree’s Celcius. Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta: — 1US$=Rp9,000 — 1AU$=Rp6,860 — (eg: 1 packet of Marlboro = Rp8,000) So if your looking for a surfing holiday destination that’s 100% surfer friendly (watch the low tide) and your dollar goes all the way. Then ya had betta get yaself over here to Bali and see what it’s all about. Best Regards.
