**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning friends and welcome to the baliwaves. And we do have a good looking day of surfing shaping up over here for the lucky buggers on holiday. I wandered down for a surf check of the Outer reefs @ 6.45am to find wave height has had another slight boost in size. Kuta Reef was still a bit too small @ 1-2ft while Middle Reef was breaking consistently in the 2-3ft range with odd slightly bigger set every now and again. Airport left also had a few waves coming through in the shoulder high class. The tide was still dropping and should hit the 0.9mtr mark around 10.00am. The High tide will be going down @ 4.00pm @ 1.7mtrs. The wind was already light off-shore coming outta the ESE @ 3-7knot. Right now @ 9.30am we got a mainly blue sky upstairs but the wind has started it’s shift to Tradewind strength with the odd 10-15knot gust, still outta the ESE. The charts are calling for more swell arriving through out the day and into tomorrow, and then come Thursday/Friday it could be maxing. Ok then, today we got waves at most locations along the South West coast of Bali and everyone should be happy where eva they paddle out. I’ve got a battle ship full of domestic stuff I gotta do around here. Anyway I think I better rest up a bit and get ready for “the” swell to arrive, cause there’ll be no rest when it does ! Alright I hope your day runs smoothly for ya out there and that ya don’t have too much longer too wait before you’ll be over here. Best Regards from Your Friendly little Island of Bali.
baliwaves.com wants to help out with a charity organisation caring for Balinese Orphans, by finding kind hearted folks to sponsor kids for their basic schooling needs. So drop us an email if you’d like to help out. It doesn’t cost much to provide a poor little kid with a school uniform, school fee’s and books.
Here’s a quick up-date on the Bali Orphan Project, last week baliwaves.com found sponsors for 3 unfortunate Balinese kiddies. Now if we can only keep the momentum going I know we can do some more, AU$8.00 per month per year for everything needed to put a child in school.
