**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and welcome aboard the baliwaves once again. So just ta fill ya’s in on where I was on Thursday first. Well me and my local friends have been waiting patiently for the big schools of Tuna and Trevally to appear, on Thursday they were here. It’s been fish BBQ city since. Now yesterday I got down to Padang Padang around 9.00am but had to hang out in the car park for the next half an hour waiting for the rain to blow over. When I started to shoot there was somewhere around 40 surfers in the line-up and pretty tightly grouped at that. As the tide started to get lower around lunch time there were some spectacular tube rides going down and the local surfers were tearing it to pieces, they just know the wave so well. Rizal Tanjung was claiming most of the bigger set waves and making deep tube riding look real easy. I haven’t even had time to look at the 20 minutes of DV I captured yet but will be very shortly. So expect to see some new high quality DV clips appearing on the site in another hour or two’s time. Today the 8th and @ 6.30am wave height has dropped back into the 2-5ft range on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Kuta Reef was looking good with the swell wrapping back around the reef for 100mtr rides in the 2-ft class, no one out at the time. Middle Reef was still picking up 5ft sets and Airport Left was breaking at 2-3ft+. There coulda even been a few waves around the other side of the runway at Airport Rights. The tide has just reached the top of a 2.2mtr High water mark now @ 8.00am and the next Low tide will happen @ 3.00pm this afternoon @ 0.5mtrs. The wind is still very light blowing off-shore outta the ESE-SE @ 1-3knot. This along with a beautiful blue sky is setting the scene for another fantastic day of surfing and beach activities for the lucky crew who chose to come to Bali. Alright friends I’m pretty keen to take a look at yesterdays video action of Padang Padang so make sure ya drop in later on if you do to. Until then Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination in the World, Bali.

Here’s a quick up-date on the Bali Orphan Project, last week baliwaves.com found sponsors for 3 unfortunate Balinese kiddies. Now if we can only keep the momentum going I know we can do some more, AU$8.00 per month per year for everything needed to put a child in school.
