**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Thanks for dropping into the baliwaves this fine and sunny Sunday. As ya’s can see I made it down to Uluwatu yesterday cause I knew that’s where the barrels would be. I was set up by 9.30am and wave height was coming through in the 2-4ft range, all be it a little inconsistent at times. But when the set waves started swinging wider with the dropping tide the Racetrack was spinning out some nice tube rides. A bit of a joke crowd wise, there were only 9 surfers out. I stayed until the tide hit the bottom around lunch time, and then there was still bugger all surfers in the water. I managed to shoot just enough DV to cut a new video clip (video 1) and that should give ya another perspective of Uluwatu’s Racetrack section. This morning the 20th and I knew there was no need to rush down to confirm that wave height has slipped back into the 1-1 foot plus between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The wind is blowing off-shore outta the ESE @ 7-12knot on a mainly blue background. The next tide will be a Low of 0.7mtrs just after lunch around 1.00pm. So I reckon you’d be heading back down to Uluwatu if you were thinking about going for a paddle today, not a bad place to spend a day chilling out in the cliff side cafe’s anyway. Ok then crew have a good one and stay tuned to Bali’s surf and weather info right here with baliwaves.com. Best Regards from Your Ultimate Surfing Holiday Destination !
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
