**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome aboard the baliwaves my fellow surfers ! Hey how was the Racetrack yesterday, tubing or what. Yesterday I had the camera equipment set up by 10.00am, location Uluwatu. As ya’s can see in these latest batch of high quality photos wave height was pushing 2-4ft+ and as the tide got lower the waves got hollower. But there was a big difference in the number of surfers in the water compared to 2 days ago, yesterday I counted 50+ surfers spread out from the Main Peak to the Racetrack. I packed up @ 12.45pm and the barrels were still smoking through the Racetrack. Coming home I noticed that Impossible’s had 2-3ft lines wrapping down the reef and quite a few surfers riding them. This morning the 22nd and there’s still a few waves about. The Outer Reefs of Tuban were producing 1-3 footers, 1 foot at Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and 3 foot sets @ Middle Reef. The wind was light off-shore outta the ESE, even now @ 8.00am it’s still only just blowing @ 2-3knot. The next tide is gunna be a 2.1mtr High happening around 9.00am followed up with a 0.4mtr Low around 3.30pm. Not a bad looking day coming up in Bali, warm and sunny with fun sized waves thrown in. Ripcurl Indonesia currently has a contest on stand-by set down at Padang Padang, and fingers crossed the Indian Ocean is going to be delivering the goods soon enough. Ok then have a good one and until later it’s Best Regards from your friendly little holiday island of Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land, Bobby’s Camp US$280.00 all up for a week. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
