**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves. Like I mentioned in yesterday’s arvo up-date wave height was on the march and this morning at 6.30am we have some solid swell hitting the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports was ranging from 3-6ft+, with Middle Reef picking up the bigger one’s. The wind was already fresh and coming outta the ESE @ 4-7knots, blowing off-shore from Seminyak to Uluwatu. The tide was just starting to run back up to a 2.4mtr High set to take place around midday and then finishing the day off with a 0.3mtr Low through the late afternoon. Kuta Reef was showing extremely good potential earlier, even though it was still to shallow to hold up properly, as the tide creeps up it’s gunna be cranking @ 3-5ft. There’s only one trade off we got today, in order to get some of those long and perfect peelers the crew are gunna have to suffer with the billions of tiny electric shock type jelly fish that have invaded the reef line-ups the last few days. I just had to calm down WDT and reassure him that they arn’t that bad, and that he’ll be ok in his wetsuit swimming around through it all with his camera.. So we should have some photos of Kuta Reef to check out later on, when Wavey gets back. One of the surfers staying here at home base has just walked in the door after a two hour session at one of the better low tide beach breaks not far from here and said there was no sign of any jellys along the beach. An, that it was cranking @ 2-3ft+ with only 4 other surfers in the water with him. Ok plenty of waves on offer around the island, sunny sky and off-shore wind. That’s basicaly what a Bali surfing holiday will consist of, everytime. I hope you lot have a good one what eva’s happening out there, and until later it’s Best Regards from your friendly little island of Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into the G-Land camp of your choice. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
