**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome back to the baliwaves Team Bali and the start of another surfing week here on the holiday island. This morning when I was down doing the surf check at 7.00am the reef was still 50% exposed / dry from the 0.3mtr Low tide that was happening at the same time. But the Outer Reefs were still receiving a good 2-4ft+ of swell wrapping in. No one out on Kuta Reef or Airports yet the way the tide is but there should be a few 2-4 footers happening by mid morning. Middle Reef had some good ones coming through consistently in the 3-4ft+ range and there looked to be at least half a dozen surfers on it. The wind if any earlier was coming very lightly outta the NW and even now @ 8.45am is only just starting to turn off-shore from the ESE. The next High tide is gunna be going down around 1.00pm @ 2.3mtrs. Weather wise she’s looking good, and we’ll be in for a mainly warm and sunny day with the temperature pushing the high twenties. The exchange rates are also pretty attractive for anyone changing dollars to Rupiah. Somethin like –1US$=Rp9,100– –1AU$=Rp6,935– The Euro’s getting more than Rp11,000 for 1$Euro, and the English Pound is somewhere around Rp17,000 for one. I also had a bit of a brouse at the swell information available on the net and it does look like we will have plenty of waves all week. So hurry up and get yaselves over here and get in on it ! On the apology department I have to admit I am way behind on answering the 100+ emails in my box. But hang in there I’ll get to your’s ASAP ! Alright that’s enough for now, the bottom line is we got waves happening all over the place again today. Tune in later this evening cause ya never know what we might have for ya’s. Best Regards from Your surf riddled island of Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
