**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew welcome back to the baliwaves. This morning when I was down doing the surf recon of the Outer Reefs it appeared that wave height has crept back up another foot or so with 2-3ft+ of swell breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports. The tide was out at the time and there was a lot of exposed reef, but Middle Reef being one of the deeper reefs was breaking with good form. No one out surfing at 7.45am but I don’t think it’ll be too long before the holiday makers start to wake and get into it. The next High tide is going to run up to 1.9mtrs scheduled for around 2.00pm this afternoon. The wind is already coming outta the ESE @ 4-8 knot and off-shore from Legian to Uluwatu along Bali’s south western coastline. Weather wise outside she’s shaping up for another great day around the beach’s, lottsa blue sky and the temperature should reach the 30 degree Celcius mark by midday. I’d have to image what Uluwatu would be like this morning, it’d be freaking cranking down through the Racetrack section. I was talking to a couple of surfers fresh back outta the jungle of G-Land and they said it was pumping for the whole 10 days they were in camp, ranging from 4-8ft. Lakey Peak, earlier this morning I had a phone call from the Aman Gati hotel situated right smack dab in front of the famous Lakey Peak. The manager reckons wave height has been pretty consistent in the 2-4ft+ range over the last week and that there is currently 39 guests at the hotel that can accommodate somthing like 80. Ok crew I’ve gotta head into the metropolis of Denpasar this morning but I’ll give ya’s another surf up-date later this afternoon. Have a top day what eva ya got happening out there and hopefully we’ll see ya’s here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali real soon. Best Regards.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
