**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew, well wave height has been fading slowly all day but there are still a few waves hitting the Outer Reefs in the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airports, with Middle Reef picking up the bigger sets. The beach breaks up around Padma street in Legian were also producing some fun sized waves through the higher end of the tide according to Pete Jones. I didn’t hear any news from Uluwatu but I’m sure there woulda been plenty of action down there in the 3-4ft class. Weather wise the sun has been cooking with the temperature getting up to around 33 degree’s Celcius outta the shade. As ya’s can see in these latest photos Ronny is a natural footer and just loves to surf. WDT went for a walk and took these photos from around Kuta and Tuban, it was pretty quite on the streets at the time cause everyone was probably cooling off at the beach ? Anyway we’ll see what happens tomorrow surfwise and I’ll let ya’s know first thing in the morning ok. See ya’s then.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning groovers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves this fine and sunny Thursday. I’m a bit seedy this morning after attending one of “the boys” birthday party last night, but I still managed to get my self down to the ocean (50yrds away) for a surf check of the Outer Reefs of Tuban by 7.00am. Wave height seems to have backed off slightly but there’s still plenty of surf out there ranging from 2-4ft+. The tide was still running down and is gunna be bottoming out around 9.00am @ 0.5mtrs, then running back up to a 1.7mtr High around 3.00pm. That said, it’s still to shallow on Kuta Reef and Airports for the moment, but that’ll change on the run back in and by 10.00-11.00am they should be lining up. Middle Reef was breaking nicely @ 3-4ft+ with a few surfers already in the water getting into it. There was hardly any wind earlier and surfing conditions were clean and glassy, and now @ 9.00am it’s still only pretty light coming straight outta the East and off-shore @ 3-5knot. So everythings shaping up for yet another great day around the beach, plenty of waves and sweet sunshine for the holiday crew kicking back in Bali. Later today I’m gunna be loading up some new Kuta Cam photos plus I’ve got an absolute shite load of images to get onto the Gallery pages. Ok then have a good one out there and stay tuned right here if ya wanna be in the know, I’ll be back with the full run down on how it was later this afternoon. Best Regards from the No.1 holiday destination (if ya surf) island of Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land (Bobby’s camp 7 days all included for only US$280.00). How to get over to Lakey Peak and still have money to spread around. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
