**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day folks, welcome to Bali’s surf and weather report. Well yesterday ended up being one of those days…. I made the run down to Padang Padang around 10.00am. There were cars and motor bikes parked everywhere so I thought it must be on ! But after parking the car and wandering across for a look down on the action. Local surfers, Kopling, Devis and Pepen were also um’n and r’n about going out as wave height was only in the 3-5ft range with only one wave per set on average. Not to mention that Rizal Tanjung was also out there tearing up the bigger one’s coming through. It also looked pretty crowded with somewhere around 35+ surfers in the line-up. So I thougt I’d take a look down at Balangan. I haven’t been down to Balangan for probably something like 2 years maybe and was pretty shocked by the rapid villa development program that seems to have gone into full swing. But anyway when we finally got down there wave height was pouring through in the solid 4-6ft+ class but no one out surfing. The Middle section was actually looking make-able. So after scoring a car, but still getting skunked photo wise I thought I’d cheer meself back up by throwing a few photos of Padang Padang in full swing from yester year up on baliwaves. This morning and @ 6.30am wave height is still cranking through in the 4-8ft range in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Kuta Reef was looking pretty good while the tide was at it’s best. Middle Reef was breaking solidly, picking up the most swell, but unlike Kuta Reef there wasn’t anyone out there. The wind was light outta the ENE first up but now @ 8.30am is blowing straight off-shore outta the ESE-SE and starting to howl @ 8-15knot. Plenty of blue sky for the beach lovers, and plenty of waves for the surfers today here in Bali. A bit cooler this morning temperature wise, more like dry season weather for a change. The mercury should reach the high twenties if your in the wind or low thirties Celcius outta the wind. The water even felt a touch warmer this morning probably around the 22 degree Celcius mark. Alright then I hope ya’s have a good one out there today and tune in again this evening, ya never no what I could pull outta the hat. Best Regards from Your No.1 Holiday Island of Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need. Thanks and Best Regards from Your Bali.
