**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day again crew, well as ya can see I almost made it down and back to Uluwatu without incident. There were some nice waves coming through on the main peak, as expected, with wave height still in the 3-4ft range. Only 10 surfers in the water @ 9.30am and another two riders down on Temple’s. I reckon the crowd woulda Peaked at something like 30, spread out from the Peak to the Racetrack by 12.00 noon. The Racetrack was just starting to crank out long and speedy tubes so I thought I’d change from stills to video. After setting everything up I got stung by a faulty blank tape and she wouldn’t shoot a single frame. I suppose, it’s only the second time it’s happened to me in the last 9 years, so I suppose I’m still lucky. I’m still spewing about it though ! My sun-set surf check of the Outer Reefs was just showing the remnants of this faded out swell, wave height was down to a mere 1-2ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airports. We’ll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings us, ya can expect a late report from me cause I’m “gone fishing”. We’ve also got a little surprise for ya’s starting this weekend, all’s I’m gunna say is that your gunna be seeing a lot more side on views of the action ? See ya’s soon !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers, and I’ve lost count of many days/weeks straight the surf has been cranking here along Bali’s famous South Western coastline. This morning @ 6.30am wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still holding 2-5ft. Kuta Reef was looking ok on the head high set waves with a good turn out of dawn patrolers in position. Middle Reef was still pulling 5 footers or double head high when the sets come through, but I didn’t see anyone surfing. Airport left also had a few 2-3 footers for the 2 lone surfers out there. No waves at Airport Right due to the strong off-shore ESE-SE wind that’s already kicked in and gusting upta 6-10knot and will get stronger as the day proceeds. With the Full Moon in place today we will see some big tide differences between High and low water over the next few days. The next one today is going to be a High of 2.2mtrs @ 9.00-9.30am followed by a Low water of 0.3mtrs around 3.30pm. I’m gunna be cruising down to Uluwatu to see whats happening down on the Main Peak through the High tide, so try and drop by the baliwaves again this evening for the real deal. Weatherwise today there’s plenty of blue sky and the temperature should easily push into the high twenties Celcius. Humidity level is pretty low and the water temperature is great for surfing / swimming @ 22 degree’s Celcius. Ok then friends try an have a good one today, even if your not here on holidays in Bali yet ! Best Regards from the No.1 Surfing Holiday Destination your eva gunna experience.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need. Thanks and Best Regards from Your Bali.
