**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew, thanks for dropping into some baliwaves this morning. Today’s 7.00am surf check seemed to me that wave height has bounced back up in size a touch. The tide was still falling to a 0.7mtr Low scheduled in for 10.00am and then we got a little 1.4mtr High between 3.00-4.00pm. Kuta Reef had set waves in the head to head high plus range and should even improve as the tide starts it’s run back in. There were already a few surfers out at Middle Reef catching 3-4ft+ sets. Slightly smaller swell hitting Airport lefts but like Kuta Reef it should improve towards midday. The wind was light on-shore outta the WNW earlier but just now at 8.30am it’s starting to swing back to the East and off-shore from Legian to Uluwatu. I was planning on heading down to Uluwatu this morning but my trick back says I won’t be carrying no camera box’s today… What I did do last night was start loading some photos into our September GALLERY, so ya never know who ya might spot in those. I suppose I should tell ya’s a little bit about the photos that you guys see on baliwaves.com. The actual photos that appear on the site are in LOW RESOLUTION and no where near as good as the original images (7mb in size). Same with the Digital Video that appears. Weather wise outside it’s not looking too bad, there’s still some cloud hanging about because the wind hasn’t kicked in yet. But even so it’s gunna be another hot and mainly sunny day coming our way. The KUTA CARNIVAL ’06 offically kicks off today so if your in Bali or on your way make sure ya get down to Kuta beach and check it out. Ok that’s me for now, there’s so much happening here in Bali it’s not funny. Have a good one and stay tuned for more surf and weather info through out the weekend. Best Regards from Your Bali.
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
My turn dept: My Deepest Thanks to the people who spared baliwaves some kind thought, what surprised me the most was that these people kinda already imagined exactly how I live. It’s ended up with something like 60 surfers and surfing families have lent a helping hand. So ya’s can take a deep breath knowing that baliwaves.com is gunna be keepen on keepen on. For me, just knowen that I got that many solid supporters watching it’s well worth it. Thanks 10,000,000. times crew !
