**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’Day crew and thanks for dropping by this afternoon. I was up early again this morning and doing the surf recon of the Outer Reefs by 6.30am and there was some nice waves barreling through on Middle reef in the 3-4ft range. The Tide was still dropping so I thought I’d make tracks straight down to Uluwatu and see if the Racetrack was doing anything. An as ya’s can see it was going off ! I got the camera gear set up by 8.30am, at that time there was only 6 surfers in the water. The Tradewind hadn’t kicked in so the waves weren’t quite lining up properly. But by 11.00am the wind was coming clean off-shore outta the ESE and it was tube city down the line. The crowd peaked at 24 surfers riding the Track, while there were 3 or 4 more riders sitting on the Main Peak pulling into some shallow barrels as well. I also managed to shoot 8 minutes of DV tube time and as soon as I get these photos loaded I’m gunna start doing the video clips for ya’s, so stick around for the show. Just to round things off I’ve just snuck down for another look at the Outer Reefs (now 4.00pm) and there’s still some real nice waves pouring through on Kuta and Middle Reefs in the 2-4ft range. There was some cloud fluffing about in the sky earlier but since lunchtime there’s been nothing but blue sky. It’s also been another hot day around the South West Coast of Bali and the temperature woulda had to have been around 32-33 degree’s Celcius outta the shade. Ok surfers hang in there and I’ll get ya’s those video clips shortly. I’ll be back in the morning again with the latest info on surfing and weather conditions so until then it’s Best Regards from Tube central, Bali.
Please if ya can help out baliwaves with a dollar or two we would certainly appreciate it, ( I certainly would..) I really wanna be able to do a lot more helping out with the less fortunate folk around Bali and Indo but first I need to make sure that baliwaves.com keeps it’s head above the high tide line, if ya know what I mean. Right now I’m just doing it, but my credit card is just about maxed out in the red. To tell ya the truth, I don’t want more than I need to get by. I’ve been borrowing cars for the last 8 years to get you guys the material that gets ya stoked. This isn’t an anual thing by the way, it’s just baliwaves.com asking for a helping hand at times of need.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
