**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves today. Sorry I couldn’t make the run down to Uluwatu yesterday, two factors held me back. No wheels, and my back was still saying no to the 35kgs of camera equipment. Anyway WDT went for a swim out ta Kuta Reef and snapped these photos for ya’s instead. This morning when I was checking surfing conditions the swell was still hanging in there in the 2-4ft+ range and mabe even a touch bigger than yesterdays. The tide is running up for a 2.1mtr High set for around 10.00am then falling away to 0.4 of a metre @ 4.00pm. With the New Moon happening tomorrow we will start getting some big difference’s between the High and Low marks. There was some nice waves coming through on all 3 of the main sections of reef from Airport Left all the way up to Kuta Reef, even though the wind was light on-shore outta the South @ 1-2knot. But now @ 9.30am the Tradewind has started to kick in with off-shore wind outta the ESE and that’s where it’ll stay till sundown. No sign of any cloud here in Tuban, more perfect beach weather with plenty of waves included. Down along the beach at Kuta Oakley have got a contest happening, and it’d be well worth getting down there for a look at the local surfing talent. If you were wanting to change dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’d be getting something like this: — 1US$=Rp9,125 — 1AU$=Rp6,865 — 1EU$=Rp11,370 — 1POMMY$=Rp16,995 — Ok crew I’m heading back down to the beach so have a good one and stay tuned to the baliwaves if ya wanna stay in the loop. Remember, anytime’s a good time to book a flight to Bali. Best Regards.
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
My turn dept: My Deepest Thanks to the people who spared baliwaves some kind thought, what surprised me the most was that these people kinda already imagined exactly how I live. It’s ended up with something like 60 surfers and surfing families have lent a helping hand. So ya’s can take a deep breath knowing that baliwaves.com is gunna be keepen on keepen on. For me, just knowen that I got that many solid supporters watching it’s well worth it. Thanks 10,000,000. times crew !
